The development of advanced modern technology has allowed researchers to build a more accurate understanding of how our brains work. These technological methods include the encephalogram (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and positron emission tomography (PET). These techniques ultimately have the same goal in that they aim to produce coherent representations of the brain.

Scans reveal intricate brain wiring reports on the first batch of data from a project designed to create the first complete map of the human brain.

The project could help shed light on why some people are naturally scientific, musical or artistic.
