Pamoja, the sole provider of online International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) courses, has signed a unique three-year agreement with Faria Systems, the leading provider of cloud-based integrated information systems, serving over 2000 IB World Schools and 160,000 IB DP students. The organisations have formed a partnership to deliver significant process efficiencies to the IB World Schools that Pamoja supports with online DP courses; in an agreement that will see revisions to the exam registration processes through streamlining registration, enrolment and reporting in the ManageBac platform.

A social enterprise with a clear mission to broaden global access to quality education, Pamoja has provided the platform to study the IB Diploma Programme (DP) online since 2009.  With over 3,000 students a day in 80 countries using the service currently, it is the largest DP cohort in the world.

The new partnership connects ManageBac, and Pamoja Square (Pamoja’s own delivery platform) to deliver a succinct exam registration process, linking Pamoja course enrolment and DP exam registration steps, while providing a mechanism that allows term grades to be synced automatically with schools’ own official reporting systems.

Richard Grazier, Director of Growth and Strategy at Pamoja, said: “Our partnership with Faria Systems and the integration of ManageBac establishes the Pamoja philosophy of enabling schools to enhance and empower teaching of the IB Diploma Programme.  Schools can now enrol students on Pamoja courses, alongside the more traditional face-to-face courses, and efficiently track their progress online.  This reduces the time that registrars and school staff spend on administration, while also creating more opportunities for students to learn what they want and to own their futures.

“We have listened to the need of our customers and, by using the technology already available to us, we are now able to deliver a concise platform that saves time – allowing invaluable teacher time to be redirected back to enhancing students’ learning experiences.”

Angelica Nierras, Managing Director at Faria Systems, commented: “We’re really pleased, as we believe the partnership with Pamoja will help schools to track more easily and better report on student progress.”
